About Fortitude CCSS

Fortitude CCSS began as a part time private practice over fifteen years ago. Established by Chana A. Land, LPC, LPCS, Fortitude CCSS was launched as a full-time private practice in August 2019.  We are now a growing group counseling practice of six clinicians eager to help and serve.  Our team currently consists of three full time counselors, one part time counselor, and two master’s level interns (Carrie Bailey and Alana Gibson).  We also have a part time administrative coordinator.

Fortitude CCSS staff specialize in trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and more.  When a client so desires, we are honored to help from a Biblical, Christian counseling perspective as we each firmly believe in the healing power of Christ Jesus. We are also happy to serve people who do not desire a faith-based perspective as we are all educated and trained in clinical mental health counseling.  We work with people of all ages and have expertise working with veterans, first responders, athletes, persons of the medical community, children, adolescents, couples, families, persons in recovery, and more.

We are currently accepting new clients and would be delighted to serve you!

Our Staff

David Ashley Williams, M.S., LPC

David Ashley Williams, M.S., LPC brought his counseling skills to Fortitude in January 2021. Ashley is neither a stranger to the local community nor to counseling. Most local folks know Ashley from Christ Central Ministries Oconee in Walhalla, SC and the tremendous, holistic healing work he has done there for the community. We are delighted Ashley continues to work with us part time in consulting and counseling.  Ashley specializes in premarital and marital counseling, substance abuse and addiction, and family counseling. His approach and effectiveness to helping the recovery community, couples, and families is unmatched.

Lynn Lyles, M.Ed., LPC

Lynn Lyles, M.Ed., LPC joined Fortitude in March 2023 after retiring as a school counselor in Oconee County, SC. Lynn exhibits unparalleled passion and excellence in counseling children ages four and older. She is equally superb in working with adults.  Lynn brings an array of talents to Fortitude while exhibiting one of the most inspiring, ferocious appetites for learning new things.  Recently, Lynn became certified in both play therapy and sand tray therapy, both of which have proven to be incredible approaches to healing.  She is also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and more.

Hillary Davis, M.S., LPCA

Hillary Davis joined Fortitude in August 2024 as an intern pursuing further education and training in counseling.  Hillary is under the direct, clinical supervision of Chana A. Land, LPC, LPCS.  Hillary has worked over ten years with persons with developmental disabilities by providing them holistic care, support, resources, and case management.  She is passionate and gifted in working with teens and adults of all ages.  Although Hillary is very gifted in individual counseling, she especially enjoys working with couples, families, and groups.  She has a very meek, gentle spirit and a clear giftedness for discerning needs then coming alongside someone in the healing journey from a deeply empathetic, compassionate heart.
