Chana Ashlan Land, M.Ed. started Fortitude as a part time private practice over ten years ago. Fortitude was launched as a full-time private practice in August 2019. Chana’s expertise is in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders. She treats people of all ages and has expertise working with veterans, first responders, athletes, and persons of the medical community. She is also a Forensic Interviewer and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, able to assist counselors in training or early stages of licensure. She views counseling and the supervision of counselors in training as an honor and a privilege in the way it affords a professional the capacity to serve people. It is considered a calling, not a job.
Lynn Lyles, M.Ed. joined Fortitude in March 2023. Lynn brings much experience having retired recently as a school counselor prior to pursuing her current path in community counseling. We are very fortunate to have Lynn on our team. She brings a joyful spirit, unsurpassed talent in working with children and a contagious motivation to learn.
David Ashley Williams, M.S. brought his counseling skills to Fortitude in January 2021. Ashley is neither stranger to the local community nor to counseling. Most local folks know Ashley from Christ Central Ministries in Walhalla, SC and the tremendous, holistic healing work he has done there. We are excited to have him join us part time to work with individuals, couples, and families seeking counseling and share his expertise with youth and persons battling substances or addiction. Ashley also specializes in premarital and marital counseling.
Kate Massey, M.S. joined Fortitude in September 2021. Kate has a passion for counseling young adults, though she is talented working with people of all ages. She has worked in substance abuse and addiction counseling, though she presently finds her areas of interest in trauma, mood and anxiety disorders. Kate does an excellent job working with individuals, couples and families.
